Who pays us, and what that means for you.

The arrangement

A buyer pays us a fee when a purchase completes. You pay nothing — not for the valuation, not for the comparison, not for declining every offer we bring you.

If you do not sell, we are not paid. If you sell to a buyer we introduced, we are.

The conflict this creates, stated plainly

Being paid by buyers means a platform could, in principle, be tempted to favour whichever buyer pays the most, or to push a seller toward accepting rather than walking away.

We would rather name that than let you discover it. Here is what stops it:

• Offers are ranked by net value to you and the terms attached, never by what a buyer pays us
• Position is not purchasable. If that ever changed it would be labelled on the page
• We do not buy cars ourselves, so we hold no stock to protect
• Buyer fees are on the same basis across the platform rather than negotiated per placement
• A buyer who reduces prices at collection loses standing regardless of what they pay us

What we do not do

• We do not sell seller contact details as leads
• We do not take a commission from you out of the sale price
• We do not receive payment for finance, insurance or warranty referrals
• We do not run advertising or retargeting on this site

Why this page exists

A new marketplace asking for your registration, your finance position and your mobile number has to earn trust from a standing start, and vague language about being "free" does the opposite.

The honest version is that we are free to you and paid by the other side, and that arrangement has a bias worth watching. This page is where we say how we manage it, so it can be judged.
