What we do, and what we do not do

We are a comparison service. We take the details of your vehicle to motor trade buyers, and we present you with offers. We do not buy vehicles ourselves and we hold no stock.

Any sale is a contract between you and the buyer you choose. We are not a party to it. We do not act as your agent, and we do not act as the buyer's agent.

We are paid a fee by the buyer on a completed purchase. You pay us nothing.

Valuations and offers

  • A valuation is an estimate based on the information you provide and is not an offer to buy.
  • An offer is made by a third-party buyer against your description of the vehicle.
  • Buyers may inspect the vehicle on collection and may revise an offer if the vehicle materially differs from the description given.
  • You are under no obligation to accept any offer, at any stage.
  • Offers may be time-limited; the validity period is stated with each offer.

Your responsibilities

  • The information you give us must be accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
  • You must be legally entitled to sell the vehicle, or be authorised by the person who is.
  • You must disclose outstanding finance, insurance write-off markers, and any known faults or damage.
  • You must not use the service fraudulently or on behalf of a vehicle you do not have authority over.
  • You are responsible for notifying the DVLA of a change of keeper and for cancelling insurance and tax as appropriate.

Acceptable use

You may not scrape, harvest or systematically extract content from this site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, submit registrations you have no legitimate interest in, or use automated tools against the valuation service.

We apply rate limiting and may restrict access where use appears abusive.

Liability

We provide the site and the comparison service with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee that a particular offer will be received, that any offer will meet your expectations, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

We are not liable for the acts or omissions of buyers, including any failure to pay, delay in collection, or dispute about vehicle condition — though we do record such conduct and it affects a buyer's standing on the platform.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

[REVIEW: liability wording must be settled by your solicitor and must comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.]

We may change these terms; the version published here at the time you use the site is the one that applies.

Questions

Common questions

Do I have to accept an offer?

No. There is no obligation at any point and nothing is signed until you choose to proceed with a buyer.

Who am I contracting with when I sell?

The buyer you choose. We are not a party to the sale.

What does it cost me?

Nothing. The buyer pays us a fee on a completed purchase.

What if a buyer reduces the price on collection?

They may only do so where the vehicle materially differs from your description. Reductions are recorded against that buyer and affect their standing. See our complaints process.
