A general buyer who takes a Category N car once a month has to price in uncertainty — they do not know what the repair will cost or who will buy it afterwards. A specialist who handles them weekly knows both, and can pay closer to the real value.
The same applies to mechanical faults. A gearbox problem is a guess to one buyer and a known job with a known cost to another.
This is where sellers cost themselves money. An undeclared fault found at collection hands the buyer a reason to reduce, and you have no ground to argue.
Declared up front, the same fault is priced into the offer and the number holds. Photograph the damage, describe it plainly, and let buyers who want it bid.

Non-runners are bought regularly by the right buyers. Tell us what is wrong and we will approach the ones who handle it.
